Watch inmate Vicki White and murder suspect Casey White leave Alabama jail on seemingly well-planned escape

The moment in which the murder suspect Casey White and Alabama Prison Superintendent Vicki White left Lauderdale County Jail in what appears to be a well-planned escape was filmed in a video released by authorities on Tuesday night.

The two, who Sheriff Rick Singleton said were in a “special relationship,” had been on the run for four days.

Casey White, 38, is suspected of murder, who was already serving a 75-year sentence for unrelated sentences, and Vicki White, 56, is now charged with allowing / aiding an escape, a felony.

A video from Tuesday, April 29, showed Vicki White driving her sheriff’s cruise to the prison gates in central Florence at 9:29 a.m. Friday and getting out of her vehicle.

She goes to the prison’s reservation area and shows up a few minutes later with Casey White chained. Vicki White goes with him to the car, opens the door and closes it after he is in the back seat.

In less than two minutes, they both disappeared.

Vicki White’s patrol car was spotted just eight minutes later at Florence Square on Huntsville Road and Cox Creek Parkway. They haven’t heard from each other since.

The sheriff said Vicki White instructed another police officer to prepare Casey White for transportation that day, saying she was transporting him to court and then going to see a doctor after leaving him because he was not feeling well.

Singleton said Casey White was believed to be lying in the back seat of the patrol vehicle to avoid being discovered until they arrived at the mall and changed vehicles.

Authorities later determined that Casey White was not scheduled for trial. Vicki White never showed up at her doctor’s office.

Vicki White had sold her home about a month ago for $ 95,500 and was living with her mother. She submitted her retirement documents on April 28, the last working day of which was scheduled for the day she and the prisoner disappeared.

U.S. Marshal Marty Keeley said Tuesday that the two non-relatives were last seen later Friday in Rodgersville in a 2007 gold / copper Ford Edge with Alabama license plates. They are believed to be armed with an AR-15 and a rifle, in addition to Vicki White’s service weapon.

A $ 10,000 prize has been awarded for information leading to the capture of Casey White, and a $ 5,000 prize has been offered for information leading to Vicki White.

The information should be passed on by calling 911, Keeley said, and the public should not turn to any of the suspects, Keeley said.

“We consider both dangerous,” he said.
