Now that the new PS Plus levels are available worldwide (they finally launched in Europe, Australia and several other regions earlier in the week), we just have to ask: what level are you subscribing to?
PS Plus Essential is the new name for the standard PS Plus service. You get your online multiplayer access, cloud storage, some PlayStation Store discounts and a monthly selection of games for PS5 and PS4. PS Plus Extra adds a huge catalog of titles for PS5 and PS4 to the mix, while the most expensive option, PS Plus Premium, adds a library of PS1, PS2 and PS3 games, as well as trial games for PS5.
Overall, this is a landmark moment for Sony’s subscription service – the most significant change PS Plus has received since it was first launched in 2010.
Oh, and if you’re not sure about upgrading your subscription, you can always check out our huge All PS Plus Games guide, which lists every game available in each level. And with your help we have a list of the best PS Plus games if you are wondering what to play.
