The Winnipeg Jets will soon begin the process of interviewing candidates for head coach next season, general manager Kevin Cheveldayoff said at a press conference at the end of the year on Monday.
Cheveldayoff did not rule out the return of interim head coach Dave Lowry, who will be interviewed during the trial.
Kevin Cheveldayoff says the #NHLJets will go through a full-scale search for a new head coach, adding that he has informed Dave Lowry that he may be part of it.

Lowry took over as head coach on December 17 after Paul Morris resigned. Under the leadership of Lowry Jets, they came out 39-32-11, as they missed the post-season for the first time since 2016-17, finishing eight points out of place in the playoffs.
The 56-year-old joined the Jets as an assistant coach in November 2020 after being the head coach of Brandon Whit Kings of the WHL. He previously served as an assistant to the Calgary Flames and Los Angeles Kings.
