One of the male climbers was rescued by members of the Rocky Mountain National Park Search and Rescue Team with the help of the Colorado National Guard, the statement said.
The man was taken with medical assistance to the Medical Center of the Rocky Mountains, where he is being treated. A female climber has minor injuries, according to the report.
Authorities are still searching for the third climber who went missing in the area where the avalanche occurred, according to the report.
Other climbers in the area have witnessed rocks and avalanches, park officials said in a statement.
So far this year, 16 people have died in avalanches in the United States – well below the 37 people killed last year, according to the Colorado Avelanch Information Center.
