1 killed, 4 others injured while driving in Gresham: “I don’t want to hear more shots, I’ve had enough”

“They were trying to save him, but he was already in a corpse bag,” Darley Scott said of the man she saw paramedics.

Two men, aged 30 and 24, were taken to Christ’s Medical Center in Oak Lone in critical condition, a fire spokesman said. A 24-year-old man was taken to the same hospital in good condition. James Scott, a retired 76-year-old veteran who has served two tours in Vietnam, said he was tired of hearing gunfire in his neighborhood while watching the scene on Saturday afternoon.

“I don’t want to hear shots anymore, I’ve had enough,” Scott said.
