Dozens of members of the fraternity at the University of New Hampshire received arrest warrants in connection with a riot incident in April, police said.
According to Durham police, the orders accuse 46 members of the New Hampshire beta head of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity of student fraud.
The alleged disinfection incident involved new members of the fraternity and took place at the fraternity’s home on April 13, authorities said.
Police did not disclose additional information about the alleged attack.
Ten of the students have already been arrested and subsequently released, WMUR reported. They are due in court on July 13.
“We cooperated with the police during the investigation and the fraternity was suspended pending the outcome of the police investigation,” UNH spokeswoman Erika Mantz said in a statement Friday.
“We take every allegation of harassment very seriously, and now that the police investigation is over, we will begin a formal conduct process.
The fraternity also acknowledged the incident and said the alleged reminder was against his values.
