The first round of storms is weakening, another one is possible this afternoon
Storms moving into northern Minnesota will continue to weaken as they move east toward areas like Ely and Duluth.
After a few quiet hours, a new round of storms is expected to develop across central Minnesota after 3 p.m. These storms can be severe, with damaging winds, hail and even tornadoes possible.
This system will make its way toward the Twin Cities, which are located on the southern border of the worst-risk area for severe weather.
By midnight things will calm down and we will be silent all night.
Sunday will also feature high dew points and hot temperatures, with highs in the 90s in the Twin Cities.
Morning showers are possible Monday and more scattered storms north and northeast of the metro beginning in the afternoon. We will have a dry stretch in the middle of the week before things start to heat up.
