A Brampton realtor and radio host was the victim of a violent attack last week.
Peel Regional Police said they are investigating an ax and machete attack that was reported on August 4. The man was attacked at 8:16 a.m. shortly after getting into his car in the area of Mayfield and Hurontario.
Surveillance video shows a man running up to the vehicle, smashing the driver’s side window with an ax and then striking the victim with the axe. Two other men, one armed with a machete, joined in.
The man who was attacked was well-known Brampton real estate broker and radio personality Jyoti Singh Mann.
Several messages on Mann’s Instagram account condemned the attack.
“I wish Joti Singh Mann a speedy recovery and the culprits should be brought to justice at the earliest,” wrote one person.

“Sending you and your family all my love and prayers. We pray for a speedy recovery for you and for justice to be served,” another person wrote.
On his real estate website, Mann says he has lived in Brampton for “quite a while.” He helped deliver food to residents in need at the start of the pandemic, according to a post on Twitter. He was also a radio host with Punjabi radio station Fateh Radio.
Police said the attack was targeted and there was no threat to public safety.
Mann is expected to recover from his injuries.
