The Rock is back, helping Fortnite players in another lively explosive event

Fortnite’s final season ended with the first major live event of the year, as the heroes of Battle Royale Island sought to end the villainous Faction Imagined Order forever.

At the beginning of the event, players found themselves in groups of up to four people in the Fortnite bear for the first time. Here you can peek from his bridge over an unfamiliar landscape – an ice moon orbiting the main island of Fortnite – and play with weapon towers while listening to a short audio chat between the characters Jones (Troy Baker), Origin (Rahul Koli) and the Foundation (Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson).

One minute later, a mission briefing finally re-introduced The Paradigm’s fur pilot and made a bet: the evil IO was set to blow up a superweapon capable of killing everyone, and it’s up to you inside the fur to stop it. (It doesn’t matter that this is your goal in every Battle Royale game.) So we set off, exploding into space, through an asteroid field and to our best view of Fortnite Island, floating in the multiverse so far.

Tonight’s live event for Fortnite: Collision.

Arriving at Fortnite Island, the bellows came under heavy fire from IO tanks and the formidable bellows of Fortnite, as well as a powerful explosion from the IO mole headquarters. The heroic bear reacts by opening his own superweapon from his chest. Everything seemed to be going well until the IO airships appeared – and then it was the turn of Peely’s favorite fan to go and save the day with a Popeye spinach-like oil tanker full of healing Slurp to restore the mechanism and to restart its charge.

Still, things were not simple. Just as the bellows were about to cut the IO’s superweapon with a laser sword, ground mines sank it underground – and the game went from a first-person tower shooter to a third-person action. In a hole next to the superweapon, IO Chief Dr. Sloan – who had been causing players problems for at least a year – was sitting between you and your target. Assisted by Jones and the Foundation, you dispelled Slone, while the fur seemingly ended Slone forever (finally!) With a nice punch.

But there are always bigger fish. Geno – first verified name more than a year ago and seemingly the founder of IO – is seen through a silhouette in Zero Point, spanning the multiverse. (So was Star Wars Darth Vader, who seems likely to be unlocked next season.) The event ended when Jones and the Foundation followed Geno and shared a nice fist after their many adventures over the past year.

All this leads to the current Fortnite screen “Continue …”, which is based on a shot of some alien-looking mushrooms while lo-fi music plays in the background.

Fortnite is expected to return online with Chapter 3, Season 3, sometime later today (Sunday, June 5). Epic Games is already irritating some of its “vibrating” skins.

Fortnite’s To Be Continue Live Stream.

For my money, this was one of Fortnite’s best events in history, picking out the storylines of many of the game’s final year characters. I was afraid that the bet might mean that at least one of the characters might fail, although I was hoping for a more convincing ending for Slone and IO. We will have to see how things turn out next season.
