Toronto police have identified a woman who died Saturday from severe burns.
Police say 37-year-old Henrietta Whiskey died at a hospital on Saturday. Her death is considered murder, the 32nd murder in Toronto in 2022 so far.
On Friday, officers were called to 275 Chester Le Boulevard in Scarborough with reports of a fire.
There, according to police, Whiskey and a man who tried to help her were found with severe burns and taken to hospital. The man is in stable condition. The second man was also taken to hospital, police said, but had no information about his condition.
A fourth, a 38-year-old man, was arrested in the case. Const. Ed Parks said the case was domestic.
Police say charges are pending and he will face trial soon.
Police are asking anyone with information to call 416-808-7400 or use Crime Stoppers.
