A fire destroyed the large unloading store at Value Village in East Vancouver.
Firefighters were called to a second-hand shop on East Hastings Street near Victoria Drive around 10pm on Wednesday and found it completely engulfed.

Dozens of people living in the area stood across the street and watched the building burn and collapse as crews aimed several hoses at the site.

Half an hour after the start, authorities said the flames were 85 percent under control.
However, photos and videos from the scene show that at the time the structure was mostly in ruins.
At its peak, Global News viewers reported seeing smoke and hints of flame all the way from North Vancouver.

The fire did not spread to neighboring buildings, according to the Vancouver Fire and Rescue Service, although some suffered damage from smoke and heat.
There are no indications that anyone was injured in the fire, authorities said, and there is still no information on the cause.
