SANDWICH, NH – On Wednesday around 4:00 p.m., New Hampshire State Police Communications received a call regarding a possible drowning on Squam Lake in Sandwich.
New Hampshire State Police – Marine Patrol, Sandwich Police Department, Sandwich Fire Department, Center Harbor Fire Department and Stewarts Ambulance personnel responded.
On arrival, a 92-year-old man who had gone for a swim from his camp was pulled from the water and given CPR. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim is William Duryea, 92, of Exeter, New York.
