Traffic in northeastern Calgary was suspended late Monday afternoon after a shooting.
The accident happened just before 4 pm in the area around the Edmonton Trail between 36 and 37 Avenue NE
Police confirmed that there was a shooting with two vehicles, although they could not say whether any of the second vehicle returned fire and was stopped when it happened.
Police blocked the intersection and said shell casings had been found. Video surveillance records are collected from local companies and residents.
No casualties were reported and the cars fled the scene.

The district hospitals have been notified by the police in case anyone shows up.
The recordings from video surveillance cameras from companies and residents of the area are collected by the police.
No arrests have been made. There are no descriptions of the vehicles.
