A call for Father’s Day for a missing 60-year-old man, unseen since Thursday morning

The family of a 60-year-old man from West Wales, who has not been seen for three days, is appealing to the public for help in finding him.

Alistair – his last name has not been revealed – was last seen leaving his home in Lampeter at around 9.45am on Thursday. It is alleged that he intended to travel to Aberaeron on the shores of Cardigan to fulfill an order. Police say his white Volvo car was found parked in Alban Square in Aberaeron later that morning, but officials were unable to confirm any sightings of the missing man in the coastal town that day.

Police say Alistair’s family is becoming increasingly concerned about his well-being and is urging anyone with information to come out. And detectives are urging people in and around Aberaeron to check CCTV footage and the bell for any surveillance that could help their investigation.

Dyfed-Powys Police Inspector Matthew Howells said: “Alistair’s family is understandably very concerned about his safety. We ask anyone who thinks they may have seen or talked to Alistair since Thursday, or thinks there is information help us find it, contact us immediately.

“We also urge all homeowners or businesses in Aberaeron who have a doorbell or CCTV camera outside their property to contact us. You may have footage from Alistair or his vehicle that could help with our inquiries.

Alistair, who recently celebrated his 60th birthday, has been described as “6 feet 2” tall and “well-built.” He has very well-groomed gray hair and usually wears glasses. polo shirt when last seen, police say Alistair speaks well and has a “southern English accent.”

Anyone with information on Alistair’s whereabouts has been asked to contact police.
