A father with a “golden heart” dies while climbing Snowden

A father with a “golden heart” died while climbing Snowden.

Colleagues paid tribute to 30-year-old Ade Ajay, who died while climbing a mountain in North Wales on Monday (June 6th). The cordial staff at Montague Hospital in Mexborough, South York, said Ada “could light a room.”

Ade was a trainee medical assistant in the rehabilitation team at the hospital, Mirror Online reports.

In a statement to the Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals, the NHS Trust said: “Ade joined the DBTH team in 2019 and was a much loved and respected member of the Rehab 1 team at Montagu Hospital. As a trainee nurse, he always puts his patients first and types all the best for the NHS.

“We have no doubt that he would have had a long and fruitful career at the Trust, making a difference for so many people. Colleagues describe Ade as having a heart of gold and a man who was a pleasure to work with and who could light a room.

“It is said that Ade has always shown boundless compassion when dealing with people, and has been a confidant and friend of so many people. Simply put, he will be so much missed by all who knew him but always remembered him.

An online fundraiser has been set up to support his family and help cover funeral expenses, with friends vowing to visit Snowden in his memory.

Richard Reasbeck, who created the group funding page, said: “Anyone who has known Ade knows that he has always been the life of the party, someone who told him how it was and was not afraid. We will take this walk in honor of an amazing person we know would like to take this walk for him.

“Ade loved, was a spontaneous devil and always made everyone laugh when he was in his company (sic). Another amazing man, taken away until recently. He was an amazing friend, partner, son and brother and will never be forgotten. “

The exact date of the walk will be determined once the numbers are established, Richard said.
