Police are searching for two suspects after an incident at the Chinook Center early Saturday night.
Employees responded to the mall around 7:50 p.m. for signals of a fight in the building, officials told CTV News.
They say there was a “verbal quarrel” between two groups of young people in the restaurants and during the incident one of the men involved pulled out what looked like a firearm from a backpack.
Police say he directed him to the group, then later fled the scene.
The weapon, which was identified as a real firearm, was seized from a recycling bin by mall guards.
Police were also present at the scene and arrested a number of suspects in front of the mall. After officers reviewed the security records of the incident, they decided not to participate and were released.
A man and a woman are currently wanted, but police have not released their descriptions.
No one was injured in the accident.
