A four-wheeler driver killed after crashing into a tombstone in Glasgow Cemetery

An ATV driver died after crashing into a tombstone in Glasgow Cemetery last Sunday morning.

Police rushed to Lambhill Cemetery on Tresta Road around 6 a.m. on June 12 after reports of a collision.

The 36-year-old driver was seriously injured.

He was rushed to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, but tragically died shortly afterwards.

Police said the investigation into the incident is ongoing.

A spokesman for the Scottish Police said: “At 6 am on Sunday, June 12, 2022, the Scottish Police received a signal of a collision between an ATV and a structure in Tresta Road Cemetery, Glasgow.

“The 36-year-old driver of the vehicle was seriously injured and was transported by ambulance to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly afterwards.

“The investigation into the incident continues.”
