The first officer of a superyacht that docked off the coast of St. John’s isn’t keeping quiet about the ship’s passengers, who fell so in love with St. John’s during a trip last year that they decided to return.
Austin Miller works aboard Legacy, which is docked ashore with its support vessel Pursuit.
Miller says the crews of the two ships are like “one big happy family.”
The Legacy, which is based in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., docked in St. John last year en route to Iceland. Miller says even though it was his first trip to Newfoundland’s capital, they were looking forward to docking in St. John’s.
Miller, who is originally from Chicago, says while he’s in St. John’s for work, he hopes to get some time to explore the city.
He calls the city beautiful, especially sailing through The Narrows.
