A man and a teenager were arrested after a knife incident in which the victim received serious injuries. Police were called in for a fight in the Newquay laundromat area yesterday (April 30th).
A man in his 40s has received alleged stab wounds and is currently believed to be serious, according to police. According to them, the victim is in stable condition and remains in hospital. The area is still seceded after the incident between 2.30 pm and 3.10 pm started in Tower Road and continued in an alley.
In a statement released today (May 1st), Devon and Cornwall police said: “The incident continued to an alley on Higher Tower Road, where a new serious attack was reported and a 40-year-old man received alleged stab wounds.

“Currently, it is considered that the injuries of the victim are serious and he is in stable condition in hospital, where he continues to be treated.
“A 20-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy, both from the Newquay area, have been arrested on suspicion of assault. Both remain in police custody while the investigation continues. The police cordon remains at the scene at this time.

A witness told CornwallLive: “The air ambulance climbed higher than Tower Road, right on Pentire Road and in the grass car park where the air ambulance landed. One man was also on a stretcher at the back of the ambulance. I saw someone being handcuffed at the top of Krantok Street. “
