A man died after the vehicle he was in crashed into a parked industrial car in Langford over the weekend.
The incident happened in the area of Goldstream Avenue and Christina Place around 7:15 am on June 19.
According to the West Shore RCMP, the only passenger in the vehicle, a 59-year-old man, was killed despite attempts by BCEHS and the Langford Fire Service to rescue him.
Mountis says initial sightings of the scene suggest the 59-year-old man collided with a parked commercial or industrial vehicle.
“This tragic incident is still being investigated by the BC Coroners Service and the RCMP Collision Analyst,” Const. Megan Groulks, a spokeswoman for the West Shore RCMP, said in a press release. “No additional information is currently available as the investigation is ongoing and a name will not be released.
Anyone who has witnessed the incident or has footage of the incident and has not spoken to the RCMP is asked to contact them at 250-474-2264 and cite file number 2022-10317.
