A man was seriously injured after a fire with two alarms in a garage in Scarborough on Saturday morning.
At around 5:05 a.m., ambulance crews responded to a fire in a bungalow and a burning man in the Homestead Road And Coronation Drive area.
The home’s garage was engulfed in flames, Toronto police said.
A man was found and taken urgently to a trauma center in serious condition.
The man received third-degree burns on 90 percent of his body, Toronto Fire reported.
Fire crews managed to put out the fire in the garage.
The fire did not spread to neighboring homes.
The cause of the fire is unknown.
The fire marshal’s office has been called in for an investigation.
