The Lambton OPP has identified the victim who died after being hit by a vehicle on Walpole Island earlier this week.
On Monday, officers, along with members of the Walpole Island Police Department, the Walpole Island Fire Department and the Chatham-Kent EMS, responded to a signal for a vehicle that hit a pedestrian on the boss’s road.
The person, Clifton Tushkenig of the First Nation on Walpole Island, was transported to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Police are continuing to investigate and will provide additional updates as they become available.
