A woman has died after being hit by an e-scooter driven by a 14-year-old. Linda Davis, 71, was on Southwell Road East, Rainworth, when she was hit by a private electric scooter around 3:50 p.m. on Thursday, June 2nd.
Ms. Davis, known to family and friends as “Lou,” was taken to hospital but died on Wednesday, June 8. The rider, a 14-year-old boy, remained on the scene and contacted emergency services.
He has since been interviewed for consideration and remains under investigation while the investigation continues. A police investigation is underway and officers are calling on all witnesses to appear.

The victim’s family was supported by Nottinghamshire police. Nottinghamshire Police Detective Detective Emma Temple said: “Our thoughts are with the victim’s family, who sought solitude at this difficult time.
“Our inquiries continue and we urge anyone who has witnessed this clash or who may have video surveillance or whiteboard recording to contact us. Anyone with information is asked to call 101, citing incident 441 of June 2, 2022, or anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
