Hamilton police say they have charged a 33-year-old woman with raiding after protesting against progressive Conservative leader Doug Ford.
Lawyer Caryma Sa’d says she is the man who was arrested at John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport.
Police say Ford was present at the airport around 5:30 pm yesterday to suspend the election campaign.
According to police, the protest was formed in front of the building and eventually moved into a private property, blocking the way to the Cargojet facility.
The forces claim that the protesters were asked to leave the road, but one of them did not meet the requirements and was arrested.
Saad says she was not there to protest against Ford and actually had a printed RSVP to attend the PC Party.
Police and Saad agree that she was then removed from the property and immediately released with a ticket to the property.
She says she intends to fight the lawsuit in court.
