Radio 1 presenter Adele Roberts has announced that she has received a complete cancer cleanse.
The former Big Brother contestant revealed in October that she had been diagnosed with bowel cancer and was undergoing surgery to remove a tumor.
She wrote on Instagram: “Angel on Earth. The day I was waiting for. Hearing the words “you are free of cancer” absolutely took my breath away. I keep reproducing it in my mind. It was the most beautiful sound I think I’ve ever heard. Although I begged Dr. Hahn to tell me this, I don’t think my head allows me to believe until I hear it.
“Everything we’ve been through seems to be spinning in my body and life feels a little surreal right now… BUT I’M SO THANKFUL! I count my blessings.
“I am also in awe of anyone who deals with cancer. Her courage, strength, determination, and sometimes the humor you showed was nothing but superhuman. You inspired me and gave me the fire to never give up. You are warriors, and thanks to seeing you so strong, it made me keep going. Feel the fear and do it anyway. Sometimes it took all my strength just to get out of bed and handle the day, but I did it every day. I made sure I was doing something to make you a huge devil with cancer. It took too many of us. I didn’t know what fate had in store for me, but I knew I would never stop trying.
“I thank my family, my friends, everyone who took the time to send me messages, send love or positive thoughts. You supported me and helped me kill this beast. That’s one thing Dr. Hahn told me. to dark places when I was battling cancer, but that’s the only thing I knew I had control over. My body could die — it’s still so painful now — but there was no way I could let it destroy my spirit.
“If something makes me happier than I’ve ever been. Going through the darkness gave me the light. Transform me, give me my little stoma Audrey, bring amazing people into my life and now it’s time to start really alive.
“Thanks to Dr. Hahn, his team and the entire NHS. You are angels among us. Thank you for saving my life.
“Thanks to my Kate. The reason I had the strength to get out of bed every morning. I will never leave you and I will always find you. In this life and in the next.
“Because the wonderful man I met, named Terry, told me recently: yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, and today is a gift.
