AL notes: Blue Jays, White Sox

The Blue Jays sent left-hander Taylor Sosedo to the 10-day list of injuries to the right thigh. Taking his place on the list, Bowden Francis was returned to the active list, according to Keegan Mattison of MLB.com (via Twitter). Francis was selected for Triple-A only yesterday. Saucedo was rough in 2 2/3 innings of work, scoring four runs and six hits, including three home runs.

  • The Blue Jays have several key players who may return soon. Theoscar Hernandez and Hyun Jean Ryu have returned to baseball activities and may be preparing for rehabilitation, according to Caitlin McGrath of The Athletic. Ross Stripling held the line in Rue’s place, but the crime could use the power of Hernandez’s trademark.
  • John Moncada begins his rehabilitation today, according to a lineup map posted by Charlotte Knights on Twitter. Inclined tensions have not allowed Moncada out of the squad for the entire season so far. 26-year-old Jake Burger started the matches in third place instead of him, reducing .260 / .275 / .420, which is good for 105 wRC +, although he runs with only 1.9% video.
  • The X-rays on Andrew Vaughn’s arm were negative. He was hit on the arm with the field in yesterday’s match. For now, it’s everyday, according to James Fagan of The Athletic (via Twitter). Vaughn started hot in the record, reducing .283 / .367 / .566 in 60 appearances.
