An OPP officer stops two stolen cars on Hwy. 401 in eastern Ontario

An OPP officer slammed on the brakes of two stolen vehicles along Highway 401 in eastern Ontario.

In the first investigation, the officer stopped an SUV traveling 155 km/h on Hwy. 401 on Saturday.

The Ontario Provincial Police reported that the vehicle had been stolen.

The 22-year-old driver faces several criminal charges, as well as a charge of stunt driving.

Hours later, the same officer pulled over another stolen vehicle on Hwy. 401, according to police.

Five people have been detained as part of the investigation.
