Android Alert: Google is banning a popular app – delete it now

If you’ve recently downloaded a package of new apps, you may want to test your Android phone without delay. Google has just banned an extremely popular app from its Play Store and there is a very good reason why.

An application called PIP Pic Camera Photo Editor has been found to contain malicious software that is fully capable of stealing Facebook credentials, including usernames and passwords. This can allow hackers to access accounts, steal personal information and send fraudulent messages to contacts.

As of earlier this week, image editing software was still available for download and installation, but Google is already blocking access after being warned of the dangers.

Unfortunately, this news will not come as a consolation to the millions of people who have already installed PIP Pic Camera Photo Editor on their devices.

If you are one of the unfortunates, then it is a good idea to delete the application from your devices and change your Facebook password without delay.

This threat was discovered by the team of Dr. The Web is not the only application that has caused some concern.

According to the latest report from the security company, there are four other applications that contain malicious software that can display unwanted ads, kill battery life and even make unauthorized changes to the phone itself.

The applications called by Dr. Web, include Wild & Exotic Animal Wallpaper, ZodiHoroscope, PIP Camera 2022 and Magnifier Flashlight.

Some of these applications have also been removed by Google, with ZodiHoroscope and PIP Camera 2022 no longer available for download. As with all apps, before you start downloading anything to your device, it’s worth checking out who developed the software and then reading as many reviews as possible.

Other users will often warn you about application issues, and if you suddenly start seeing endless one-star ratings, you know you need to beware.

It’s also a good idea to use Google Play Protect to protect your apps and personal information

Google Play Protect checks your apps and devices for malicious behavior and checks the security of apps from the Google Play Store before downloading them. It also scans your device for potentially harmful applications from other sources.
