Anne Hatch is reportedly being investigated for a felony after she crashed her Mini Cooper into a home in Los Angeles on Friday.
The Los Angeles Police Department has escalated its investigation to a felony after a woman said she was injured and needed medical attention after Hatch crashed into her home, TMZ reported Wednesday.
This new development comes after Page Six confirmed on Monday that cops were ordered to test the actress’ blood to see if she was under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol at the time of the incident.
Police believe Heche, 53, was intoxicated when she crashed her car into two different buildings before being “engulfed” in flames. She suffered severe burns after the vehicle caught fire.
“The information we received this morning was a warrant received on the same day as the traffic collision, which was on August 5. The warrant was for a blood draw and the investigation is ongoing pending the results of the blood test,” an LAPD representative told Page Six.

“If found intoxicated, [Heche] could be charged with a misdemeanor hit and run. No arrests have been made so far.”
A neighbor previously spoke to People and said the woman whose home was destroyed in the crash was “extremely lucky” to survive without injury.

The neighbor, Lynn Bernstein, said Lynn Michel was in another room when the incident happened.
“I don’t think she understood what was going on. She said, “What happened? What happened?” Bernstein said before noticing her neighbor was “in shock”.
She also recalled that Heche’s car drove “almost all the way” through the home and “almost immediately” caught fire.

However, it is not yet clear whether the woman injured in the accident is Michele.
On the other hand, Heche remains in a “critical condition” after falling into a coma.
“Shortly after the accident, Ann Hatch became unconscious and went into a coma,” her spokesperson told Page Six.
“She has significant lung damage that requires mechanical ventilation and burns that require surgical intervention.”

According to eyewitnesses, the actress first crashed into the garage of a nearby apartment complex, but reversed and drove away before residents could help her.
Officials with the LAPD’s West Traffic Division also confirmed that she hit another vehicle before crashing into the house, which burst into flames and left her badly burned.
Following the incident, celebrities took to social media to express their well wishes.
