Tottenham manager Antonio Conte has been “condescending and patronizing” to Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta after the North London derby, according to former Crystal Palace chairman Simon Jordan.
The Spurs beat their local rivals 3-0 on Thursday night to resume the race for a place in the top four of the Premier League, with Harry Kane scoring twice and Son Hyun-min adding the third. The match caused a lot of controversy, as the gunners allowed a slightly soft penalty before Rob Holding was expelled.
Arteta was particularly outraged by the award on the spot and was squeezed in his post-match press conference to avoid a “six-month suspension”. However, Conte did not have time for the Spaniard’s protests and accused his opponent of “complaining a lot” while speaking to reporters.

“Mikel Arteta is a really good coach. He has just started doing this job and I hear him complain a lot,” he said. “You need to focus more on your team and not complain because this job has just started. He needs to be calm and try to keep working.
The 52-year-old Conte has extensive experience in the dugout after winning titles with Juventus, Chelsea and Inter Milan before joining the Spurs in the middle of the season. In contrast, the 40-year-old Arteta is in his first senior management role and his only trophy is from the 2019/20 season, when he led the gunners to the glory of the FA Cup.
There is no doubt that Conte is more ornate and hardened in battle than the two bosses, but he is facing a reaction to his comments about Arteta. Jordan was eager to point out that the animated Italian is also throwing a lot of straps and returned to the Spurs’ 1-0 defeat to Burnley in February to illustrate his point.

“I don’t know how he has the audacity to comment on the fact that Arteta is moaning and moaning about things, they are all doing the same thing,” Jordan said. talkSPORT, for the subway. “I don’t think Mikel Arteta has asked Antonio Conte for advice about his coach.
“And maybe Antonio Conte could take some advice on how to behave like a mature person when things don’t go his way. Two or three months ago, he had a temperamental hiss, “I don’t think I’m good enough.”
“The bottom line is that I don’t know why Antonio Conte should share his specific wisdom with Mikel Arteta. I’m sure that’s the leading question, but you don’t have to answer the question as it is slightly condescending and patronizing to the nature of the person’s experience in the profession. “
