Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 14 series in September, and to avoid any delays in the launch, the company is diversifying its component suppliers, which not only allows the Cupertino-based tech giant to reduce its dependence on a single supplier, but also to have a position for negotiation. And ahead of the iPhone 14 launch, Apple’s list of suppliers has expanded after China’s SG Micro passed quality certifications for higher-end iPhone 14 models.
Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max
The information comes from renowned analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who said that SG Micro is likely to supply PMICs for the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. This will be the first time the Chinese company will supply components to Apple, suggesting that its technical capabilities have reached the level 1 required if you want to produce premium high-end consumer electronics.
SG Micro receiving orders from Apple for the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max will also help boost its revenue and profits while helping Apple avoid iPhone supply delays due to component shortages.
