Apple WWDC 2022: Apple’s most anticipated event, the World Developer Conference (WWDC), will take place today (Monday, June 6). People are looking forward to the event to hear the latest announcements from Apple CEO Tim Cook about upcoming developments. It may be known that the WWDC 2022 event will be broadcast live online on Apple’s website, Apple’s YouTube channel and Apple TV. The event will start at 22:30 IST. Although the duration of the event is unknown, it is expected to be around 2 hours.
Although Apple has not made official announcements about developments that will occur during the event, several reports have been circulated based on leaks and rumors stating that WWDC 22 is expected to bring announcements related to the new Apple software products, including iOS 16, iPadOS 16, update to macOS, watchOS and many more. According to Mark Gourmet of Bloomberg, Apple may bring updates to the Health app, notification panel and lock screen enhancements, which will include wallpapers that have widget capabilities. Gourmet expects more functionality similar to social networks in Messages, especially around audio messaging. In addition, Apple TV, tvOS, is expected to receive more smart home connections, while the Mac will receive some redesigned applications.
In the Bloomberg newsletter, Gourmet also spoke about the MacBook Air and the possibility of announcing a new 13-inch Macbook Pro at WWDC 2022. “There is even the possibility of a new MacBook Air on Monday. Apple had planned to launch the new laptop at this year’s conference, but the much-discussed blockades related to Covid in China led to the shutdown of factories producing the MacBook, which led to potential delays. If the new Air is indeed announced at the conference, I would expect a shortage or release date that is not immediate, “the bulletin said. Gourmet further said in the newsletter: “The new Air will be the biggest upgrade of the device in more than a decade, bringing a new design that is no different from the latest MacBook Pro and new colors (including dark blue and gold like champagne in addition to cosmic gray and silver). You can expect a 13-inch display, a pair of USB-C ports, MagSafe charging, Touch ID, no Touch Bar and the option of a slot to match his more expensive cousin. “
“The faster 13-inch MacBook Pro was also scheduled to launch at about the same time as the new Air, but those same blockages in China could have rejected that part of the roadmap.
