Apple’s new exclusive reveals the price shock of the iPhone 14

04/30 Update below. This publication was originally published on April 27

The leak from Apple has already revealed the most shocking change in the iPhone 14 range: the redesign without clippings. right? Wrong. New information reveals that their prices will be …

In an exclusive report, Bloomberg’s top Apple guru Mark Gurman said Apple’s decision to replace the iPhone 13 mini with the iPhone 13 Max was likely to increase the price to $ 300.

04/29 Update: And now we know exactly what the new iPhone 14 Max and the rest of the iPhone 14 range will look like. Saran Byte content) we can now see the actual front panels of the four models for the first time. Interestingly, the parts confirm several details that were hotly targeted:

  • IPhone 14 Pro models will have thinner, symmetrical frames
  • Professional models look a little taller than non-professional models with more rounded corners
  • The iPhone 14 Max really replaces the iPhone 13 Mini and – leaving the aspect ratio margins – is about the same size as the 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Pro Max
  • Standard models retain the clipping, while both iPhone 14 Pros have a new polarizing “i-shaped” clipping.

Alignment of actual parts (which is a regular trend at this time every year as Apple increases mass production) also adds content to leaks around the interiors of new models. That said, it’s not necessarily good news. It should be noted that the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max are expected to work with a previous generation chipset (Apple’s 2021 Aion Bionic is also used in the iPhone SE for $ 429) for the first time, while recently expired price increases (below) ) seem even more likely.

Update 04/30: Checking out leaked iPhone 14 front panels has already arrived from the increasingly influential anonymous domestic industry ShrimpApplePro.

Speaking to popular YouTuber Jon Prosser on his show FrontPageTech, the leak broke things with Prosser’s report: “Yes, it’s real … As for why we’re seeing them now, well, he [ShrimpApplePro] says mass production could begin as early as next month. So what you see is still technically under development, but we’re just around the corner from doing it on a scale. ”

While Prosser has indeed made a name for itself over the past 18 months with a series of high-profile leaks from Apple and Google, ShrimpApplePro has sparked waves recently after its leaked iPhone 14 Pro schemes were the first to reveal a new i-shaped cutout for these models. His information contradicts that of several other established distributors and was initially treated with skepticism, but after a wave of free leaks from other sources, all major insiders now agree that this is Apple’s chosen iPhone 14 Pro design.

As such, the ShrimpApplePro signal is about as good as the iPhone leaks of 2022, and highlights Apple’s plan to widen the design, features and performance gaps between professional and non-professional iPhones. It’s a risky strategy that risks repelling fans during global belt-tightening, but Apple rarely makes a mistake in its product strategy.

“So for the first time, the iPhone-free Pro line will get a 6.7-inch screen option,” explains Gourmet. “… consumers will now be able to get Apple’s largest iPhone for at least $ 200 less than before.”

In other words, the iPhone 14 Max will be about $ 200 cheaper than the iPhone 14 Pro Max. Now let’s break this down. The iPhone 13 Pro Max currently starts at $ 1099, which would cost the iPhone 14 Max $ 899 – an increase of $ 200 over the iPhone 13 Mini of $ 699, which it replaces. But not so fast.

Numerous leaks claim that rising component costs and Apple’s determination to differentiate between iPhone and Pro and non-Pro will increase the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max to $ 1,099 and $ 1,199, respectively. That $ 200 difference now potentially pushes the iPhone 14 Max to $ 999 – $ 300 more than the iPhone 13 Mini.

And that’s just the beginning, because, as Gourmet points out, standard iPhone 14 models will share far fewer Pro features than previous generations. Among the features he claims will be missed are:

All of this presents Apple fans with something of a conundrum: how important is size?

Poor sales of the iPhone 13 Mini have once again shown that big screens are what consumers really want, so the more affordable iPhone 14 Pro Max should fit the bill perfectly. But if the iPhone 14 Max costs about $ 1,000 and only $ 100 more is provided by the iPhone 14 Pro, which has a superb design, improved camera, next-generation performance and a 120Hz ProMotion display, the response can be very different.

Giving consumers what they want, but not the way they want it, is Apple’s specialty. And it seems that the range of iPhone 14 will not be different.
