Police said the shooting took place in block 100 on Fourth Avenue around 2:44 p.m. on Sunday.
Officers at the scene said it was a shooting and a bullet went straight through the window of a jeep and hit the victim. He was pronounced dead when medics arrived.
During a press conference after the shooting, authorities said the shooting was a deliberate incident. The victim was not the intended target, but a passenger in the car was.
Londel Falconer, 26, was arrested Monday morning in connection with the shooting. The criminal complaint states that he took part in a separate shooting and the police went to the hospital and contacted him. He denied being on the North Side all Sunday, but later said he was visiting the family in the Manchester district. He was shown video evidence of him getting out of the North Side downtown shooting vehicle, and he said, “I was the driver.”
Anyone with information on Anger’s whereabouts should call 412-323-7161 or dial 911.
