Leeds United have rejected Arsenal’s initial offer for Rafinha and are asking for £ 65 million for the winger.
Arsenal’s initial offer was considered much lower than Leeds’ assessment of the 25-year-old, but they will return with a revised offer.
The Brazilian has an interest in Barcelona, his favorite club Chelsea and Tottenham, who are also expected to bid this week, but the assessment is impossible.
Leeds United striker Rafinha is a major transfer target for many clubs this summer
However, the Leeds star will have to be patient if he wants to move to the Nou Camp due to financial constraints looming over the team.
According to Marca, Barça are reacting calmly to Arsenal’s approach as they weigh potential options and move elsewhere.
One of them includes the future of striker Usman Dembele, whose contract expires next week.
Barça will hardly be able to afford both in their books, but they are still open for a new deal for the Frenchman.
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta saw that his team has already rejected an offer for the Brazilian star
Barcelona are also interested, but are still waiting for the future of Usman Dembele
Chelsea have been linked with a move to Dembele, but like Barcelona at the end of 2021, they have been disappointed by the lack of clarity on where Dembele would like to be in the future.
Leeds are actively looking for replacements with Cody Gakpo of PSV Eindhoven and Adama Traore of the Wolves among those considering.
Leeds striker Ryan Edmundson, meanwhile, has joined Carlisle United, while Arsenal striker Tyris John-Jules, 21, has joined Ipswich Town on loan.
