Darwin Nunes has given a serious hint that he may be on his way to Liverpool this summer, liking Roberto Firmino’s Instagram post.

The Reds are ready to break their transfer record to sign with the 22-year-old Uruguayan and Benfica striker with a deal consisting of a £ 68million advance fee and at least £ 17million in supplements for a total fee of around £ 85m.

Nunes will fill the gap left by the upcoming release of Sadio Mane in Bayern Munich, while Jurgen Klopp develops the front line of his team in readiness for a new attack on silverware.

The 22-year-old Benfica striker liked the post of the Reds striker Roberto Firmino on Instagram

The Benfica star has been strongly associated with his transfer to the Reds in recent days and has already reportedly agreed on his personal terms for his summer transfer to Anfield.

The Uruguayan striker has already hinted that this may be the case after liking Firmino’s Instagram post on Thursday night, while even the Anfield Edition fan page confirmed that he liked and followed the Reds’ frontman.

Nunes liked the photos published by the 30-year-old man, whom he helped deliver a sermon while away during his summer vacation.

Anfield Edition also confirmed that Nunes has started following Firmino on Instagram

The attacker looked emotional as he visited the Monk Church in the Brazilian city of Maceio with his wife, Larissa Pereira, 29.

Anfield’s favorite, Firmino, stood by his wife in the Christian church before taking the stage to help deliver a sermon.

His social media activity may have given away the game and may be the perfect combination with Manet, who is expected to leave.

The striker scored six goals in the Champions League last season, two of which in the quarter-finals against Liverpool and made a significant impression on Klopp.

In total, Nunez scored 34 goals in all competitions for the Portuguese team Benfica last season.

Atletico Madrid, Manchester United and Newcastle have also been linked with moves to Nunes this summer, but Klopp and Liverpool are in the lead.

Manet, meanwhile, was the subject of a second offer from Bayern Munich, which amounted to 30 million pounds on Wednesday.

Liverpool treated him in the same way as the one they received over the weekend, immediately rejecting him with the feeling that the offer was mocking.
