Jersey City, New Jersey – Americans at a gas station in Garden State on Thursday shared their thoughts on President Biden, who advertised economic conditions in the United States during an interview with Jimmy Kimmel.

“I think inflation will really hurt the economy in the future,” Tom of New Jersey told Fox News. “It doesn’t seem to stop, and the oil and the gas, I don’t see that softening, so it will hurt.”

But Lewis, also from New Jersey, said: “I believe that here in the United States, we are developing very fast, so I would agree with him to some extent.”

Biden’s appearance in “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on Wednesday night he marked his first online interview in 118 days. Biden encouraged the success of the economy, but said inflation was “the curse of our existence.”

Some were unsure of the economy’s success, but felt the daily effects of rising prices.

“I’m not sure how well the economy is doing,” said Brooklyn’s Hamish. “But I know inflation is very high and everyone is disappointed.”

Inflation has risen to a 40-year record in 2022, according to the Ministry of Labor.

“Times are really tough right now with rising gas prices, and every item I buy is 20% more after COVID,” Cathy, a New Jersey resident, told Fox News.

During the video with the comedian, Biden swung at former President Trump, annoyed potential executive orders on abortion, and said the White House had made great strides that it did not communicate well.

Tom said he could not name the great success Biden had achieved.

“Neither can Joe,” Tom told Fox News. “He’s joining Jimmy Kimmel Live!” Come on, he’s the president of the United States. He is desperate.
