Security camera video helped Sarnia police catch two bike thieves.
Police said around 12:45 a.m. Monday, two men visited the Sarnia Bay Marina on Seaway Road and entered the water.
The pair swam to the marina to gain access and are believed to have used bolt cutters to steal two bikes which were locked.
Police said the two men, bicycles in hand, exited the marina through the main entrance and were caught on CCTV.
Later that day, patrolling officers spotted one of the alleged suspects on one of the stolen bikes. They tried to run from the police but were apprehended after a brief struggle.
On Tuesday, the second suspect was located and taken into custody without incident.
Both men, ages 28 and 32, are charged with theft under $5,000.
