BREAKING: Man charged with murder after 15-year-old boy dies by double stabbing

A man has been charged with murder after a 15-year-old boy died in a double stab wound to Miles Platting.

Jakub Szymanski died after being stabbed in a house on Thursday (June 9th). His mother was also stabbed and injured.

Greater Manchester police have confirmed that Suleman Altaf, without a fixed address, is now charged in connection with Jakub’s death. The 44-year-old man is accused of murder, attempted murder and possession of an article in public.

Altaf is in custody. He will appear in the Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ Court today (Monday).

In a statement released by GMP, Jakub’s family said they described him as a “funny, cheeky boy”. They said: “Jacob was known with love as Cuba to his family and Jacob to his friends. He was always a popular child, making friends wherever he went because of his friendly and talkative nature.

“He always said to himself what he thought, he was naughty, funny and cheeky boy. He loved his Xbox and football, he supported Manchester City. He was like any other teenager and was useful to so many people, even those he had just met. our family, he is our hero. “
