Breaking undrafted signatures of a 49ers free agent

Trevor Ruszkowski-USA TODAY Sports

After a relatively quiet draft for the 49ers, in which they remained in each selection, San Francisco was extremely active in the pool of free agents without a draft and hit the jackpot of several players.

Here is a list of non-drafted free agents who are currently signed.

In particular, Arizona State’s Dohnovan West and Mercer’s Dohnovan West, as well as North Carolina midfielder Jeremiah Gemel, stood out, given the low probability that they would actually remain undefeated.

ASU OL Dohnovan West

West, a 6’3, 300-pound guard / center, was linked to the Comers’ 49ers, where he said the organization was interested in him.

West’s best profiles take place in a crime zone under a scheme run by the 49ers, making it ideal for the San Francisco attack, especially with the explosiveness it possesses at its size.

West probably needs some transition from collegial play to NFL level, but his convenience in the zone scheme could make him an intriguing candidate to compete for a starting position in the center.

Getting a potential Day 1 starter as a free agent without a draft is a phenomenal value for 49ers.

Mercer OL Jason Poe

At 6’0, 300-pound guard / center, he has elite athleticism and explosiveness, earning a relative athletic score of 9.45, which includes a 1.75 10-yard split, while testing exclusively in the shuttle and 3-cone drills.

Despite its smaller frame, Poe also plays with great force and should be a good system, consistent with his ability to move in space in an offensive zone system.

Poe needs to improve his pass defense skills, but as a non-drafted free agent he has tremendous value for the 49ers.

UNC LB Jeremiah Gemel

Gemmel is the type of player that fans should admire, with a range of intangible assets that complete his profile, such as his leadership skills and high engine.

Gemmel is a slightly lower midfielder, coming in with 6’0, 226 pounds, but demonstrates good instinct and closing speed in support of running, which is the role he probably plays at the NFL level.

The 49ers are a team known for developing midfielders, which is the specialty of defense coordinator DeMeco Ryan, as they have a good young core, including Fred Warner, Aziz Al-Shair and Dre Greenlow.

Although Gemmel does not have much experience in the position of special teams, he can follow the example of his colleagues 49er linebackers Demetrius Flanagan-Falls and Oren Burks, who are both known for their special team abilities in addition to their defensive talent.

If Gemmel had to go into a specific situation to succeed, it would be the 49ers, given his instinctive abilities and their propensity to develop line defenders.

Once again, a player who could be drafted came on the market and the 49ers charged.

The choice is inside! The San Francisco 49ers made their first selection in the NFL 2022 draft, bringing out defender Drake Jackson of the USC. The 49ers missed out on a first-round pick this year as their first-round player for 2022 took part in Trey Lance quarterback exchange last offseason. Jackson, a three-year USC starter, had 12.5 career bags at USC, including forced touching and interception in 2021. Jackson, who was 6’3,254 pounds in the NFL Combine, has a long range with 34 ‘hands and has been tested good with 36.5 ‘vertical jump and 127’ wide jump. Jackson intervened as a pass specialist, using his athleticism and long strides as basic abilities to reach the quarterback. Its suitability coincides

After choosing USC edge rusher Drake Jackson in the second round, the San Francisco 49ers chose to stay in the 93rd and chose LSU back-back Tyrion Davis-Price. With nine selections in the NFL 2022 Draft, there has been speculation that the 49ers may swap from one of their selections in the middle of the round to acquire a player who is number one in their draft, but this was not the case with the selection № 93 The 49ers still have another Day 2 selection in the № 105 selection, as they received a compensatory selection in the third round for the departure of minority coach Robert Saleh. Despite the availability of protective equipment, Nick Cross and Kerby Joseph, as well as numerous internal strikers,

After choosing USC edge rusher Drake Jackson with 61st pick and LSU Unknown Tyrion Davis-Price with 93rd pick, the 49ers finished the second day of the draft by choosing wide-ranging SMU successor Danny Gray with 105th pick. After a dubious selection of 93, the 49ers met the need for 105, adding real deep speed to a diverse wide group of receivers that included Deebo Samuel, Brandon Aiyuk, Jauan Jennings and Ray-Ray McCloud. Gray, who suffered from playing quarterback below the SMU average, has a low speed of 4.2s and can be lined up in the slot or on
