Simon Cowell admitted how bad he felt after upsetting a performer during the semifinals of Britain’s Got Talent tonight, saying “I hate myself now” while apologizing.
The latest live show will see two more performers reach the finals on Sunday, where they will join performers, including The Greatest Showman singer Lauren Allred and the Five Star Boys dance group.
The first act to take the stage was Matricks Illusion, a specialty in magic and illusions that amazed at its first audition with its illusions and quick costume changes.
While members of the audience enjoyed tonight’s show, Simon was less than impressed, hitting his first red buzzer of the evening.
However, he later took some time to apologize to a member of the Matricks Illusion, who felt horrified that he was upset by his criticism.
“By the way, I have to say something,” the 62-year-old said, interrupting his own assessment of the singing act.

“You know, going back to the first act?” I didn’t realize I was really upsetting anyone, I just apologized to her, called Lamorna, and I felt really awful.
“I hate myself now. Anyway, get rid of it. Back to you. So I’m sorry.
A viewer of Britain’s Got Talent revealed that they noticed the young girl in tears, tweeting: “Wow, my heart is on this little girl from @MatricksUK, she is in tears and no one has even noticed.”
“The little girl in Matricks Illusion is obviously upset by the judges’ comments and they were all either forgotten or heartless,” said another.

Tonight, as well as Matricks Illusion and Welsh from the West End, other semi-finalists hoping to reach the finals include comedian Axel Blake, scooter group Scooter Boys and wildlife enthusiast Aneeshwar Kunchala.
They are joined by comedy duo Brian and Crystal, singer Nick Edwards and the IMD Legion dance team.
Semi-finalists who have already made it to the finals this week include basker Maxwell Thorpe, ventriloquist Jamie Leahy and music duo Flintz & T4ylor.
Amanda Holden pulls all the stops with her fashion choice this week, retaining her most spectacular look for the final semifinals in honor of the Queen’s platinum anniversary.
