SPOILER WARNING: This story discusses the main plot points and cameos in “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness”, which is currently being played in theaters.
Well, so much for the Illuminati!
The secretive and powerful group of superheroes sworn to defend their universe in the multiverse does not last long against the Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olson), who does not refrain from brutally killing any surprising character. Despite some internet rumors and flashes of characters crossing the universe in the Doctor Strange trailers, most of the Illuminati aboard were big surprises for Marvel fans. The most shocking cameo so far is John Krasinski as Reed Richards, also known as Mr. Fantastic, the stretchy, super-intelligent leader of the Fantastic Four. The post-title scene also features Oscar winner Charlize Theron as the witch Clea, who looks ready for the inevitable “Doctor Strange 3”.
In addition to these two bombs, some eagle-eyed fans have already noticed that Professor X of Patrick Stewart and Captain Carter of Hailey Atwell have been briefly hooked on previous trailers, but “Doctor Strange 2” has a few more tricks up its sleeve. See the other cameos in the movie below.
