Carol Kirkwood confirms the engagement and shows a ring
The BBC’s Carol Kirkwood has revealed that she is engaged to her longtime live partner.
The 59-year-old woman was congratulated on the news by her BBC Breakfast colleagues Sally Nugent and John Kay, as she announced from the flower show in Chelsea.
The BBC presenter, who did not reveal the name of her new fiancé, told viewers that she was engaged on holiday.
Sally helped Carol break the news by saying, “I’m a little worried about you this morning. I don’t know how you manage to stand up with this giant stone on your left hand, Carol.
Carol looked down at her hand, smiling, before answering, “Oh, this one, thank you, Sal. It’s very nice, I’m engaged. “

Sally greeted the future bride, saying to the host of the time: “Congratulations from all of us, this is the happiest news, we are so happy, congratulations. Can we confirm to the nation what happened? “
Former Strictly contestant Carol joked, “Oh, thank you, yes, I think you just have Sal! Yes, I got engaged, we got engaged when we were on vacation, so that’s great news and we’re both excited. So, thank you! ”
The Scottish presenter was a contestant in the Strictly Come Dancing series on BBC One from 2015 and partnered with Pasha Kovalev.
She has never publicly named her longtime partner, who was previously described in the reports as her “secret boyfriend”.

Last year, she published her debut romantic novel, Under the Greek Moon, about a scandalous Hollywood actress who returns to the Greek island, where she falls in love with a mysterious tycoon.
Speaking during the book’s promotion, she told PA News about her partner: “He’s just a secret boyfriend because I never talk about him.
“I always feel that through my work I put myself in the public eye and I am very happy, but my partner, my family and my friends do not, so I have great respect for their privacy.
