This is the blood-curdling moment when the killer Stephen White stabbed his victim Jordan Cody in the neck in a tent. Jordan tried to escape, but seconds later collapsed and died in a pool of blood.
White, a non-resident, pleaded guilty to murder during a trial at Cardiff Court and was sentenced to life in prison with a minimum of 26 years. Surveillance footage was released to jurors during the trial at the time the defendant caused Mr. Cody’s fatal injury in front of the Huggard Center in Cardiff on November 23 last year.
The two men knew each other, but White, 44, who had been released from prison four days earlier, was upset after the crack £ 100 cocaine he bought had disappeared. He later said that people could not cope and said “I have to go back to prison”.

After stabbing Mr. Cody, 31, in the neck, White followed him out of the tent and stood over him after falling to the floor. He tapped his body in search of a pipe for a foot and said, “You’re not a bad person now, are you?”
Footage released by South Wales police shows White wearing an orange hat and black coat and walking towards a small tent occupied by Mr Cody, which was used by people to take drugs. After White entered the tent, there was a fight between the two men, and the killer’s orange hat could be clearly seen through the fabric of the tent.

A moment later, Mr. Cody was seen running out of the tent, but by that time he had already received a fatal neck injury. He ran for yards before falling to the floor seconds later. White could then be seen coming out of the tent with a knife in his hand before going to the place where Mr. Cody had collapsed and standing over him. Witnesses can be seen protesting against the defendant, who kept the knife with him.

White was later seen grabbing Mr. Cody’s bike and trying to escape, but was pushed to the floor by another man. After dropping the murder weapon, White returned to the bike and set off, while others tried to help Mr. Cody, who died on the spot as a result of his injuries.
The defendant was then spotted on video surveillance in Argos in Cardiff Bay, traveling to the house of his uncle, who took an elevator to the store. He bought a radio to prepare for his return to prison, and visited a nearby Asda supermarket, where he bought Lee Child’s novel Better Off Dead.

He was then caught by a police camera on his body when he marked a Transit police van on Habershon Street, Splott, telling them that he was the man he was looking for and that he had “stabbed someone in the neck”. During his arrest, he told police, “I did it, he harassed me all the time.” He added: “I bought a radio and a book and I’m ready to go to jail.” After being arrested on suspicion of murder, White said, “This is not a suspicion, I, damn it, did it.”
After the sentencing, Detective Chief Inspector Matt Davis of the South Wales Police said: “Jordan Cody-Foster was a much-loved son, nephew, cousin, brother and father, and our thoughts are with his friends and family. I hope the result at Cardiff Crown Court today provides some comfort to all who knew and loved Jordan.

“His death shocked the community, especially those who work and reside at the Huggard Center. I would like to thank them not only for their courageous actions during the day and the efforts they made to save Jordan’s life, but also for their support during our investigation. This tragic case once again highlights the devastating and far-reaching consequences of the crime with knife.
“South Wales police are committed to fighting knife crimes by not allowing people to carry these weapons and are dealing hard with those we find involved in such crimes. If you suspect that someone may be carrying a knife, please contact the police. You can just talk, save a life. ”
