The Prince of Wales received a suitcase with 1 million euros in cash from a controversial Qatari politician, reveals The Sunday Times.
It was one of three cash lots worth a total of 3 million euros that Prince Charles personally received from Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jaber Al Thani, the former prime minister of Qatar, nicknamed “HBJ”, between 2011 and 2015.
Sheikh Hamad, 62, once donated 1m euros to the prince, which was reportedly crammed into carrying bags from Fortnum & Mason, a luxury department store that has a royal charter to provide food and tea to the prince.
