Chelsea starts talks with Manchester City for both Rahim Stirling and Nathan Ake

Interim sports director (and co-owner) Todd Bowley has apparently thrown himself completely into his new role and is working furiously with the phone lines and contacts to carry out the transfer plan he (and probably) Thomas Tuchel have developed.

This includes a conversation with Manchester City not just for one, but for two potential subscriptions, and according to reports, Chelsea is already “negotiating” for both Rahim Stirling and Nathan Ake. The two players have been linked many times over the past few weeks, especially Stirling, but according to the latest Telegraph report, Boelli “contacted the Premier League champions on Monday to check their players’ ratings, with Chelsea wanting to sign both.” .

Unfortunately, the report suggests what these assessments might be, which would be useful. It was previously said that City were looking for around £ 45-55 million for Stirling and something similar was mentioned for Ake when Newcastle United smelled earlier this month. It’s not cheap, especially when it seems that Sterling doesn’t really solve a big need or provide a great upgrade in the team, while Aké is not exactly indispensable for City.

But needs are needed, and if we think that’s necessary, I guess it’s good that we’re moving forward.

Chelsea are starting talks with Manchester City for a double move for Stirling and Ake. Juventus still want huge money for De Ligt and negotiations on Kunde continue. There are also a few more things to transfer here #cfc https://t.co/WmixcXbZv4
