Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin (WEAU) – The Chippewa Falls Police Department is looking for a missing child.
10-year-old Iliana M. Peters, named Lily, a fourth-grader at Parkview Elementary School, was reported missing on Sunday at 9 p.m. by her father.
Peters’ father said she did not return home after visiting her aunt’s house on block 400 on North Grove Street. She was last seen by family members on Sunday night. Peters was supposed to return home to block 50 on East Birch Street, but she was not found in the area. Her bike was found after dark near her aunt’s home near the sidewalk between the end of North Grove and the parking lot of Leinenkugel’s Brewery.
Peters was last seen wearing a purple long-sleeved shirt with a quarter zipper and black stretch pants and gray shoes.

K9 teams from the Chipeva County Sheriff’s Department and the Hali Lake Police Department were called in to search the area last night. The Chipeva County Sheriff’s Office is also using a drone to search the woods near the area where Peters disappeared. Meanwhile, Chipeva Falls police investigators continued to monitor family and friends who may have information.
The incident does not currently meet the criteria for Amber Alert, according to the Chipeva Falls Police Department, which said it contacted the Wisconsin Department of Justice’s criminal investigation department.
Chipeva Falls’ unified school district posted on Facebook on Monday that they are working closely with police and said their thoughts are with the family at this difficult time. Jeff Holmes, a CFAUSD superintendent, said the school uses all of its communication channels to communicate to as many people as possible to help find Peters. There are also school counselors and student resource managers in the county who work with students at Parkview Elementary to help them deal with the situation.
Anyone with information about Peters’ location is asked to contact Chipeva County Dispatch Center at 715-726-7701 and select option 1.
