Cristiano Ronaldo is considering leaving Manchester United this summer due to a lack of successful transfer activity, according to reports in Portugal.
The star striker returned to Old Trafford last summer, 13 years after leaving for Real Madrid for a record for the then world fee, but this did not turn out to be the glorious return home he had hoped for.
Ronaldo has scored 24 goals in 38 games in all competitions, but the team struggled to finish sixth in the Premier League amid criticism of its impact on their press abilities and overall cohesion.
The 37-year-old Portuguese veteran has another year on his contract and he and new manager Eric ten Haag, who replaced interim boss Ralph Rangnik in April, spoke with excitement for another season after the Dutchman introduced a reinstatement.
But despite interest in Darwin Nunes, who has joined Liverpool, Barcelona midfielder Frankie de Jong and Ajax winger Anthony, the club has yet to sign a single signing.
And according to the Portuguese newspaper Record, very disappointed Ronaldo is ready to leave the northwestern team due to their obvious lack of transfer ambitions.

The former star of Sporting Lisbon and Juventus has reportedly issued an ultimatum to the club – “Increase your game or I will leave.”
Ronaldo is said to have informed his inner circle that the continuing lack of transfers will make him start looking for another club.
He had previously told the United website: “What I know about (Ten Hague) is that he did a fantastic job for Ajax, that he is an experienced coach. But we have to give him time.
The Red Devils were interested in Darwin Nunes of Benfica, but he eventually joined Liverpool.

“Things have to change the way he wants. I hope we succeed, of course, because if you succeed, the whole of Manchester will also succeed. I wish him all the best.
“We are happy and excited not only as players but also as supporters. I wish him the best and let’s believe that next year we will win trophies.
Ajax defender Jurien Timber has already rejected a move after former United boss Luis van Gaal warned him, while young Derby player Malcolm Ebioway has rejected United in favor of Crystal Palace.
