Paramedics confirmed two collisions Wednesday night in Hamilton involving bicyclists.
Around 6:30 p.m., a man, believed to be in his 50s, was struck by a vehicle at Maplewood Avenue and Balsam Avenue South. The victim was on his e-bike. According to medics, the victim was transported to a local hospital and is in stable condition.
Less than an hour later, another bicyclist was hit by a pickup truck at Barton Street East and Barnsdale Avenue North. The patient, in his 30s, was transported to the local trauma center in serious but stable condition.
