The man suspected of assaulting Dave Chapel on the stage of the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles has been accused of assault with a deadly weapon.
Isaiah Lee, 23, was detained on $ 30,000 bail, according to the Los Angeles Police Department after the incident yesterday (May 3rd). The attack was carried out during one of the four titles by comedian Chappelle at the legendary place.
Lee met Chappelle during the show, which was part of the Netflix Is A Joke comedy festival. Los Angeles police arrested and convicted Lee of assault with a deadly weapon after he was armed with a spear gun that “can throw a knife blade” when properly fired.
New videos of Lee being loaded into an ambulance have also been released.
Immediately after the incident, the attacker was detained by security and removed from the scene.
Additional reports claim that fellow comedian Chris Rock joined Chappelle in front of a crowd and joked with Will Smith after security took the invader on stage.
“Dave Chapel was knocked to the ground on stage!” Then Chris Rock came out and said, “Was it Will Smith ?!” The bravest bastard I’ve ever seen! ” writes on Twitter the author Julisa Ars.
Isaiah Lee previously wrote a song named after the comedian. Lee, an ambitious rapper professionally known as No_Name Trapper, has a proven Spotify account that reveals nearly 6,000 listeners a month.
He released a song entitled “Dave Chappelle” on his 2020 album Born & die in the trap. The second song on the album contains lyrics that seemingly refer to the Hollywood Bowl, the place where the incident took place. “Walkin ‘right into da Bowl,” Lee rapped in the first few lines of the song.
